My trip to CVS......with the kids! EEEK!!!!

Well, I procrastinated this week in getting to CVS to take advantage of some of the deals.  I decided to go tonight.  I had both the younger girls with me.  I wasn't excited about it but soldiered on.  I tend to make more mistakes when they are with me and in turn, spend more. I am please with the trip tonight, though.  Here is what I got:

1 Charmin Basic 12 double roll pack
2 boxes of Strawberry frosted Pop Tarts'
1 box of Smores Pop Tarts
1 box of Fudge Sundae Pop Tarts
1 gallon of Skim Delight Milk
1 50 oz Tide 2X
2 bottles of Pantene 2in1 Color Protection Shampoo/Conditioner
1 Oral B Cross action toothbrush
1 18 oz dial antioxidant bodywash
1 Bounce Dryer Bar
1 package of CVS training pants (can't wait until I don't have to buy these!)
2 packages of Stayfree 24 count (have 3 girls...stocking up!  LOL)
1 package of sour gummy worms (reward for good behavior) 


Grand total without sales and coupons should have been:$80.35


I paid $37.67 with 4.63 of that being tax.  I got 17 Extra Care Bucks on my receipt.  So, this trip was really $20.67! With the Tide, Bounce Bar, training pants, and the Pantene (all pricey items...) I consider it good! Not great and not as good had I done multiple transactions and rolled the extra care bucks to pay for the next order.....but still good considering. I now have 17 "dollars" to use on my next CVS excursion.  Will be heading to THE Coupon Junkie on Facebook to see what the deals for this coming week are!!

another way to earn points to redeem stuff!!!

RecycleBank is a way to "go green" and earn points to redeem for products, etc.  You get 80 points for signing up and there are several ways to earn more points.  Here is the link to go to the site to sign up.  Another code to redeem for points is RECYCLEYOURMAGS.  It is worth 15 points!

Just a little idea.............

I thought I would share a little tip.  When you start to coupon and are signing up for sites, deals and such, it is useful to have an alternate email address.  Gmail offers free emails, as does Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.  That way all your coupons and deals go to that address and not you "personal" one.  It could get cluttered fast!!

It is really hard to remember to write on here!  It is already February and 2010 is moving fast! It will be spring and then summer before you know it! The girls all have birthdays coming up in March.  Hard to believe that Kelsey will be 13, Callie will be 5 and Lindsey will be 3.  I will officially have a teenager!  Yikes!! 


I am hoping to post more and share more of the family and those killer money saving deals that come my way!

New Year's Resolution-We shall see!!

Hello 2010!!  My resolution is to actually do something with this blog.  I really want to and just have not made the time.  

This is the type of stuff I want to share:

I use a search engine called Swagbucks.  I "win" swag bucks when I search.  I was able to get $40 in Amazon gift cards, $5 in alice.com gift cards, and $5 in Fragrance.net gift cards just from searching with it from May to December this year.  This greatly helped with Christmas presents!!!  

I used the Alice.com one today.  I needed baby wipes.  So, I went to Alice.com and ordered some from Huggies.  I was able to get over 200 wipes for a grand total of $1.44.  The bill was $0.93 plus $0.51 in tax.  I like it!!!  Better than the store and the shipping is always free!
